(If Donating and Delivering, please complete BOTH forms)
The Completed Shop, Donation and/or Delivery Forms will be automatically sent to Holy Spirit Parish.
Last year HSP delivered Thanksgiving Food Baskets to over 700 families in need. This ministry is a great way for whole families to get involved. This year's one-day event will take place Saturday, November 23rd. Basket drop-off is from 8-10 am in the HSP parking lot. Delivery is from 9-11. Refreshments will be served throughout the morning.
How can you help?
Donate a Thanksgiving Food Basket: With over 700 families to serve, our number one need is basket donations. Please sign up to donate a completed food basket using the link above. If you need assistance using the link, call the parish office at 849-9245. The recommended shopping list for one complete basket is provided above ("Thanksgiving Basket Shopping List"). All items need to be placed in a large plastic tub or sturdy box and dropped off in the parking lot between 8-10 am on Saturday, November 23rd.
Monetary donations can also be given to the parish office towards the purchase of a basket, and volunteer shoppers will shop for you. Please note "Thanksgiving Baskets" on your check.
Volunteer: Numerous volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Drivers: Over 150 drivers are needed to deliver baskets on November 23rd (please use the link above to signup). Drivers need to come to the Social Hall between 9-11 am on the 23rd to pick up maps. If you are donating a basket and also want to help deliver, please make sure to sign up on BOTH forms. You will pick up additional baskets when you arrive. Most drivers are asked to deliver 3-4 baskets, however all efforts are appreciated. Maps are given out in the Social Hall on a "first-come, first-serve basis" starting at 9 am.
Shoppers: We will need over 30 shoppers to shop for 3-5 baskets each. You will be reimbursed with donated funds. Contact Jacqui Wylam (email below) if you can help.
Other: Volunteers are needed to print maps and make reminder phone calls (to parishioners and our Good Samaritan families). Please contact Jacqui Wylam to help (email below). Adult and teen volunteers are needed to load and unload baskets into cars from 7-11am on the 23rd. This has traditionally been a great activity for our teens to earn service hours.
