Feeding the Homeless
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is available upon request.
In this Sacrament, we pray for healing and restoration of physical, mental and spiritual situations. In the Epistle of James, we are urged to use this Sacrament whenever someone is ill.
It is possible to do the anointing before or after weekend Masses if you call and schedule with our office at 849-9245. By scheduling, we can allocate the necessary time. The Sacrament can also be done at the hospital or in the home. There is often difficulty getting to the more distant hospitals, so it is best to request the Sacrament as soon as the difficulty is discovered.
In those cases where a request is being made for a person that is in danger of dying, the office should be contacted as soon as possible so that the proper "last rite", which is the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the reception of the Eucharist, can be made.
