Ramps Ministry

Please join us on April 20, 2013. We are building a wheelchair ramp on for a woman on the near-East side of Indy with severe health, mobility and access issues.

…..and the Lord said. "Truly, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40) Do you have building skills that you would like to volunteer for the good of someone in need? Join us in the RAMPS ministry! We build wheelchair ramps 4-6 times/year for poor folks in the Indianapolis area who desperately need access into and out of their homes and cannot afford to have a ramp built. We are looking for many new hands and hearts for these incredibly rewarding efforts. Let Christ work through you!

We need volunteers to help plan, purchase and build wooden wheelchair ramps under the direction of a highly motivated (and marginally skilled) team. Volunteers over 17 years of age who enjoy working outside- with or without skills, are invited to share their time and talents. Please come out and help us be the hands and feet of Christ for some of those who have trouble using their own.

Gift of Time: We meet February thru October on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Parish Life Center to plan, and we build on weekends in Spring, Summer and Fall. Volunteers are needed to work 4 or 8-hour shifts on build days.

Gift of Treasure: Donations are gratefully accepted to support this effort, and can be sent directly to the parish or dropped in the collection basket. Be sure to call out RAMPS Ministry on the memo line.

Training: Experience is desired, but not required. We'll show you the ropes and with God's help keep you safe.
