Immediate Need for Truck Unloading Help Needed

St. Vincent de Paul Center has been working with Midwest Food Bank in Indianapolis to develop a relationship with them to obtain food to help stock our food pantry. The need is great and it requires ongoing food donations in order for us to feed the needy families in our communities.

Despite the generous monthly food drives from various parishes and individual donations, the food seems to “fly” off our pantry shelves! We have received notification from the Midwest Food Bank that we have been accepted and they have provided us with a food pick-up day schedule. Our pick-up day is Wednesday and the dates are as follows for the upcoming months:

August 18
September 22
October 20
November 17
December 15

We need some strong, able-bodied individuals to help unload the food once our truck returns to the SVDP center. The anticipated time of return from Midwest Food Bank is approximately 3:30 – 4 p.m. on above dates.

Donations

With the increased need in our community, we are increasing our collection for nonperishable items for the food pantry. Every weekend we are accepting donations, which will be delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, in Noblesville.

Please leave your donations in the gathering space as you are entering church. Thank you for your generosity in helping those less fortunate.

We welcome those who are interested in helping in the delivery of the donated items to the St Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Noblesville. If you can help please contact Chuck Cotton.

Gift of Time: 1-2 hours a month to deliver the food collected to the pantry. The Pantry's hours are Mon.-Fri. 9am - 4pm. To take it all in one trip you will need a van or SUV.

Training: None required.
