On Women's CHRP team #8 is looking for people to help with this very special ministry. We are in need of volunteers to prepare meals on Thursday evenings for the Missionary of Charity Women's Shelter located at 10th and Rural.
These are Mother Theresa's sisters who spend Thursdays in prayer and fasting...Therefore, we prepare the meals for the women they care for. The shelter houses 16 women at a time. Because only two people can comfortably work in the small kitchen, dinner is usually prepared at home, then transported to the shelter. It must be served by 5:30. Women at the shelter set their tables and clean up after the meal. The women are always grateful, no matter what is served. Dinner takes about an hour, but fills us for a month.
Gift of Time: About one hour every month or two.
