This ministry provides Christmas assistance to needy families in our community. As the eyes, ears, hands, feet and hearts of Christ here on earth, we serve mostly the working poor, single moms, the disabled, and the elderly.
We match Holy Spirit families or groups with recipient families and ask that you provide each member with a gift. Each child requests an outfit and a toy, but the most important thing they receive is the gift of Christ’s love, thanks to you!
In 2008, the overwhelming generosity of our parish allowed us to care for close to 1000 of our brothers and sisters in need And while 2009 presents tough economic challenges for us all, we have again pledged our support to 150 families. Are you the hope they have been praying for? A light in their darkness? Pray for those who must choose between paying the rent and putting food on the table. Pray about what you can do.
While there may not be “room at the inn” for many of our brothers and sisters this Christmas, it is our hope that there’s room in your heart.
YOU can make a difference by adopting a family.
Share the joys of the season by sponsoring a family with your family, co-workers, friends, CRHP group, Bible study, Small Faith group or your neighbors. There’s no better way to pool your resources while you serve others. Our recipient families come in all sizes; we will gladly match your group with one that suits you best!
