Eucharistic Ministry
As Eucharistic Ministers (EM) we are called to serve God's holy people by sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with our brothers and sisters. We assist the priest in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during the Communion Rite at Mass. The EMs are trained lay ministers with a deep understanding of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the bread and wine. Ministers must be confirmed and a registered member of Holy Spirit Parish.
Gift of Time: Ministers serve during the weekend Mass time at which they normally worship. Frequency of scheduling usually involves serving once every two or three weeks. We schedule for four months at a time.
Training: One hour as needed.
